    PAW Con 2026 Time Table

ATTENTION ALL TEST SUBJECTS, LAB RATS, and MAD SCIENTISTS:
PAW Con 2026 Reg Opens tomorrow on Feb 18th, 2026

Greetings, Researchers, Lab Assistants, and Questionably-Certified Mad Scientists,

The PAWCon reactors are warming up… the beakers are bubbling… and PAWCon Labs is preparing for full containment breach.

To ensure a stable experiment, we will be releasing key systems in carefully controlled phases. Please report to your terminals at the following times:

    Registration Opens — February 18
Subject intake begins. Secure your containment badge before capacity is reached.

Shopping District Applications — March 2
Vendors may now request permission to sell their strange devices, mysterious potions, and ethically ambiguous merchandise.

Panels, Performers & Party Floor Submissions — May 4
Present your research, demonstrate your talents, or volunteer to host a controlled social experiment.

Artist Alley Lottery — June 1
Our art acquisition division will randomly select creators for display and observation.

New for 2026: The Party Floor will be extended to run Sunday Night
It is suggested you stay Sunday night and check out Monday morning.

Please do not tap on the glass.
Please do not feed the volunteers after midnight.
Please report any unexpected mutations to staff immediately.
More details will be released as testing continues.

    Until then… stay curious,
    The PAWCon Labs Administration

  • Titles being removed from Netflix in February 2026

This is an incomplete list of titles that will be removed from Netflix during February 2026, mostly in Canada and/or in the United States. Unless otherwise noted, end dates are based on the Netflix Canada service.

(Started putting this list together around Feb. 7, so it mostly skips any content that was removed during the first week of the month. It was slow work; some USA exit dates are elusive to verify.)

The most discouraging losses (in my opinion) are Sing and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power; details below.

Murder at The Gala by Joesph Warbaum Book Review

This review isn’t even what I expected. You see I bought this book at MFF mainly because of the title. Murder at the Gala, which after my trip to Fur Squared and their Haunted Masquerade I wanted to see what someone else would do with the theme.

Really that is true, little did I know I get caught in one of those “Choose Your Own Adventure” Books… But I am glad I did, fairy good story, interesting twists and turns including the multiple quick deaths I almost choose. Ok so I peaked. But really did enjoy the story.

Anyway here is the Official Description

Sometimes, just when you think your life can’t get any better, reality throws you a bit of a curve ball. As the guest of honor at this year’s Brookfield Gala, you feel like you’re on top of the world, but the annual event at the Hotel Chalet is off to a rocky start, to say the least, when one of the dinner guests is found dead in the banquet hall. As a distinguished guest, you’re one of the prime suspects in their murder, and only your wit and the choices you make can keep you from jail, the hospital, or even an early grave… Will you survive your stay at the Hotel Chalet?

    My score 10/10

You can get it here or at a fur con

Exclusive: How Anthro New England Plans to Expand

    Saturday crowd_0.jpeg

A crowded Westin hotel on Saturday afternoon. The convention has doubled in size while staying in the same footprint. (Flayrah/Eberra Wolf)

When Anthro New England had its fourth year in the Westin Boston Seaport Hotel last month, it was obvious to attendees that it had outgrown the space that it occupies. When moving into the Westin in 2023, after being in the Boston Park Plaza hotel for a few years, there were 3,548 attendees. By 2026 they have more than doubled that, to 7,284. All the event space in the Westin had already been contracted out in 2023, and there isn’t additional space to grow in the hotel. Yet the convention needs more of it.

At the end of closing ceremonies, the convention hinted at expansion, telling attendees to wait for an announcement later in the year. Flayrah has been given exclusive information, in a series of interviews, on the plans the convention has for the future of the convention. While not finalized, it gives a glimpse into negotiations and plans often kept hidden from public view by organizers.
