Anubis Lives: Reviews of Axcend and Zein The Last Pharaoh
Original post written by StratoKasta
There are few third-party publishers that don’t delve into cultural myth, since it’s pre-set lore that most readers are familiar with. It’s a public domain treasure trove; part of why it puzzles me that there’s such a movement to shove more properties into the status. A huge draw within, particularly concerning the community of fur, is certainly the Egyptian Death God, Anubis. Here are two distinct takes on the god from the world of comics. -

What Are YOU Doing In Your Spare Time…?
Original post written by rodney
Recently on Cartoon Brew we stumbled across an article about a new animated short film called Forevergreen — created by Disney Story vet Jeremy Spears and Disney animator Nathan Engelhardt, literally in their off hours… along with something like 200 friends volunteering their time. A CGI film, Forevergreen is specially crafted to look like one of Jeremy Spears’ passions, wood carving. “In the film, an orphaned bear cub is taken in by a fatherly tree. As the mischievous cub grows up, his attention wanders, and a hunger for trash leads to big trouble.” The article features an interview with Jeremy, lots of behind-the-scenes development art, and a special preview clip as well.

Dream Makers Join Staff of Furpocalypse
Original post written by Ahmar Wolf
As some of our staff sit around in meetings after the grind of the day is done, putting on this event only 34 something days away, I’m reminded that it takes a dedicated team of very special people to put on such an amazing event.
Last year our friend Shutter helped create one of the most moving thank you videos we’ve ever done. Take some time out of your night and give it a watch. We’d be mighty thankful if you do.
Thank you staff. Welcome newbies. And we’ll be reaching out to all you volunteers soon.
We don’t do this because we have to, we do this because we want you to see such a special event through our eyes, and what an incredible community this really is.
Regards,
MDW
