  • MFF Tips

Here are some things that might help your enjoyment of MFF 2025

Both the convention center and the Hyatt Regency will be offering Coat Check

The Hyatt coat check is free for our attendees, and coats and small backpacks may be checked (backpacks subject to space availability). Note that all checked items may be subject to security screening. This is open 2PM-2AM Th/Fr/Sa and 2PM-Midnight on Sunday.

At the coat check in the Convention Center lobby, coats are $4 and bags are $5 (cash only). This is open 11AM-7PM Fri, 9AM-8PM Sat, and 9AM-5PM Sun.

If your wondering when is MFF sending out those QR Codes. This is what they told me

They will be sending them out close to the date.

  • MFF Prohibits ‘Tactical’ Gear In Response To ICE Presence, Attendee Feedback

Midwest FurFest 2025 kicks off this week, and many furs are understandably concerned about the presence of federal immigration agents so close to the convention. The notorious Broadview Detention Center is just over seven and a half miles from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, that MFF has called home since 2019.

MFF has been in the town of Rosemont, IL, for a decade and a half, which is a straight shot north from Broadview, IL. Anti-immigrant operations in the Chicago metro area are still ongoing, and the Chicago Tribune has written a great summary on what’s been happening these last few months regarding actions taken.

MFF’s PR director Kuna declined to share if the convention has a plan to respond to the possible presence of federal immigration officers in the area. The likelihood of that happening is low, though.

  • Eurofurs Do Not Support AI

    Hello, everyone.

Recently, we made a post about Furry Film Festival 2025. It has come to our attention that AI entries are tolerated at said festival, and the organiser refused to clarify whether attendants would be informed of their presence before buying a ticket, even after repeated questions.

We do not think this is fair to potential attendants. Because we at @Eurofurs do not support AI-generated content, we have chosen to pull the post.

Editor’s Note I agree with them, I do not support AI
