FWG Newsletter August 2026: Writing Markets and Updates

The gray clouds leisurely make their way in and scare off July, washing away the remains of all the pretty fireworks, but the sun still shines through them and brings on the heat! Welcome to August everyfur!

We have the Book Bundle coming up in October! FWG members can fill out their application in the form below and have their book considered to be included in an entire, wonderful selection of furry works! Works must be written by guild members and self-published.

We’ve created another quick and easy way to support members of our guild. On Bluesky, we now have a Starter Pack for FWG Members and FWG Associate Members! If you’re part of the FWG and would like to be part of the Starter Pack, then contact the President or the Vice President and we’ll get you in the pack. If it gets full, then we’ll just make another one for more members! Help your fellow furry friends out and check out their works!
